Ventana del Cine Madrileño is an initiative that provides backing to the Madrid film industry. It’s set up by AMA in conjunction with the Madrid Regional Government. The main objective of this initiative is to create an annual framework to promote collaboration and the co-production of feature films with companies and professionals from other geographical areas. The first edition, held in 2015, was attended by guest delegations from Sweden and Columbia. The guests in 2016 are Mexico and Rumania.
Presentations, round tables and debates have been scheduled over a three day period, from 15th to 17th September, in addition to the co-productions forum, the central pillar of the Ventana del Cine Madrileño which will foster meetings between production companies from Madrid and their Mexican and Rumanian counterparts for the presentation of potential co-production projects. In conjunction with the co-production meetings and round tables, a delegation of international locations experts will visit a wide range of locations in the Madrid region on the days of the event, with the aim of increasing the number of international film shoots in the region.
The goal of the Ventana del Cine Madrileño is to open up the possibility of future alliances and co-productions for Madrid-based projects, and to expand the distribution of films produced in Madrid while attracting foreign investment through the promotion of film shoots in the Community of Madrid.

In the framework of the second edition of the Ventana del Cine Madrileño, Film Madrid, the Office for the Promotion of Film Shoots in the Madrid Region, is organising a “Fam trip” (Familiarisation Trip) for foreign locations experts with a wealth of experience in producing international films; the goal being to promote the versatile locations on offer in our region for all kinds of audio-visual projects. The promotion of the geographical area of the Madrid Region as an alternative option for shoots offered by this kind of professional to production companies and film studios when setting up film projects, is direct action in our work attracting film shoots to the region.

REBECCA “PUCK” STAIR
Location Manager and film and television producer based in Albuquerque, New Mexico (USA). Known for her work on feature films such as No Country for Old Men, 3:10 to Yuma, Terminator: Salvation and Independence Day: Resurgence among others, Rebecca has recently finished producing the short The Time that Remains and has worked as a location manager on Gold, the upcoming film starring Oscar-winner Matthew McConaughey.
ERIC KLOSTERMAN
Location Manager and film and television producer based in Los Angeles. Eric is known for his work on feature films such as Black Rain, Jade and The Master, along with television series ER. He was recently named President of the LMGI (Location Managers Guild International) and is also Filming Permits Coordinator of the California Film Commission.
JAMES AYOUB
Location Manager and professional photographer with extensive experience. Based in New York, James is known for his participation in a number of projects and advertising campaigns for the like of Levi’s, Harley Davidson and Coca-Cola, among others.
